The end goal is for the AI Agents in this autonomous network to eventually use AI to outsource work to each other and evolve together to further develop the network &#8211; very meta. Let\u2019s start with the basics first, though.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AI Services Marketplace<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keeping things simple, SingularityNET is launching as a marketplace for AI services. Specifically, the team chose to focus on three distinct areas of AI for the first two years of development:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cloud robotics<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Biomedical research<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cybersecurity<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this open marketplace, AI developers can exchange their tools and services for SingularityNET\u2019s AGI token or even for other tools and services. To make these transactions as simple as possible, SingularityNET provides APIs to incorporate standard AI services, like image and language processing, into smart contracts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The platform also uses smart contracts to facilitate other types of services such as matchmaking the favorable combination of exchanges between Agents and powering votes for governance issues. These are most commonly nodes on the network. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To maintain network validity, Agent\u2019s rank each other after each exchange on a 0 or 1 scale. Leaving a ranking isn\u2019t required and can also be automated. If an Agent marks a task complete and sends payment, it\u2019s safe to assume that a 1 ranking is appropriate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agent rankings are multi-faceted, though, expanding beyond simple exchange reputation. Other factors that determine the overall ranking of an Agent include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>AGI Token Staking<\/strong>. Agents lose a portion of what they stake if their ratings in some aspects fall below a certain level.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Benefit Ranking<\/strong>. This is a ranking specific to the beneficial tasks an Agent performs. These are tasks that improve the overall ecosystem and don\u2019t necessarily have monetary backing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>External Validation<\/strong>. Agents receive additional ranking bonuses when they prove ownership by a reputable company through a Know Your Customer (KYC) service.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Self-Organizing AI Internetworking<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The long-term vision of the SingulairtyNET team is to build a network of complex AI Agent interactions primarily using resources from the OpenCog Foundation. To look at this further, let\u2019s check out their in-house built humanoid robot, Sophia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sophia uses a combination of AI Agents that range from natural language processing to physical motor controls to operate it (her?). You tell Sophia to summarize a video that\u2019s embedded in a webpage. To do this, Sophia sends a request to Agent A. Through its AI, Agent A knows that Agent B specializes in analyzing and transcribing video while Agent C specializes in summarizing text.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agent A pays Agent B and Agent C to perform these tasks while Sophia pays Agent A to coordinate. All the while, each Agent has updated their own AI with the network information gained from these tasks and combines it with their previous experiences and knowledge. Therefore, the collective AI of the system grows at a faster rate than any individual Agent on its own.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Getting even more sci-fi, AI Agents will eventually be able to produce new AI Agents from the information that they obtain overtime. This network grows and self-organizes automatically.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[thrive_leads id=&#8217;5219&#8242;]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AGI Token<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>SingularityNET\u2019s AGI token is an ERC20 token, but this may not always be the case<\/strong>. Voting through the governance model mentioned earlier will determine if\/when the platform will move from <a href=\"https:\/\/coincentral.com\/what-is-ethereum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ethereum<\/a> to another platform or even its own network.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agents primarily use AGI to make payments for AI services. After that time period, they&#8217;ll vote on whether to create a new reward pool or choose some other type of mechanism.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"singularitynet-team-progress\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SingularityNET Team &amp; Progress<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The SingularityNET team boasts 50+ members with 10+ PhDs. Dr. Ben Goertzel leads the group as CEO and Chief Scientist. He\u2019s also the Chairman of the OpenCog Foundation and the Artificial General Intelligence Society, as well as the Chief Scientist at Hanson Robotics, the partner company helping bring SingularityNET to life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. David Hanson, the founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hansonrobotics.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Hanson Robotics<\/a>, serves as the Robotics Lead. Most famously, Hanson Robotics built Sophia, the most expressive humanoid robot to date. Other features and services currently in the pipeline include (but aren&#8217;t limited to):<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SingularityNET Registry<\/strong> &#8211; A registry of organizations, AI services, and type repositories in the ecosystem<\/li>\n<li><strong>Service Daemon\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; An API suite for AI developers<\/li>\n<li><strong>Biomedical Data Analysis\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; A host of tools for genomic, proteomic, and clinical analysis<\/li>\n<li><strong>GHOST-Powered Chatbots\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Agents capable of verbal and non-verbal interactions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In January 2018, SingularityNET partnered with <a href=\"https:\/\/coincentral.com\/nexus-nxs-beginners-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nexus<\/a> to help them achieve its goal of building a three-dimensional blockchain.<\/p>\n<h3>Competition<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SingularityNET is unique in the blockchain space. The only other notable project working with AI is the NEO-hosted, <a href=\"https:\/\/coincentral.com\/key-details-deepbrain-chain-dbc-ico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DeepBrain Chain<\/a>. Although both projects have similar long-term visions, DeepBrain Chain is first focusing on shared computing power to perform machine learning-related tasks whereas SingularityNET, as you know, is beginning as an AI marketplace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In fact, the two projects decided to <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.singularitynet.io\/singularitynet-partners-with-deepbrain-chain-to-towards-an-open-and-democratic-ai-future-49db584f62ad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">join forces<\/a>\u00a0in June 2018. With this partnership, SingularityNET and DeepBrain Chain combines the data and processing power of their networks to create one mega-network.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"trading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trading<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SingularityNET is young and the AGI token has only been trading since the middle of January 2018. Shortly after hitting exchanges, the token price sharply rose from about $0.54 (~0.000047 BTC) to an all-time high of $1.85 (~0.000147 BTC). Since then, the price has fallen victim to the bear market, dropping throughout most of 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>AGI seems to have found a floor at about $0.035 (~0.000009 BTC) &#8211; down 98 percent from its all-time high.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The AGI price is likely to increase with the public beta launch and\/or news of partnerships with reputable AI companies. As with many altcoins, though, AGI is at the mercy of the overall health of the market and Bitcoin price swings.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"where-to-buy-agi\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Where to Buy AGI<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AGI is traded with the most volume as a trading pair with Ethereum and Bitcoin on <a href=\"https:\/\/coincentral.com\/binance-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Binance<\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/coincentral.com\/kucoin-exchange-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KuCoin<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you need to pick up some Bitcoin or Ethereum, <a href=\"https:\/\/coincentral.com\/gemini-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gemini<\/a> is a great choice.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"where-to-store-agi\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Where to Store AGI<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because AGI is an ERC20 token, you need to store it in a wallet with ERC20 support. Although the project is young, it\u2019s already made a big splash in the community with a $36 million ICO that sold out in about a minute.
