As the names imply, the Basic view has all you need to perform simple trades while the Advanced view is for more advanced traders. There aren&#8217;t many differences between the two views with the exception of being able to do more detailed technical analysis in the Advanced view.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Basic View Walkthrough<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a novice trader, you may even find the Basic view to be fairly complex. It\u2019s clear that Binance was not created for the casual investor. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main dashboard has several charts and graphs including the <strong>order books, a candlestick chart, as well as the trade history\u00a0<\/strong>of the trading pair you&#8217;re viewing. There\u2019s also a depth chart of the orders that you can view in a separate tab from the candlestick chart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To begin trading, you first need to fund your account. There&#8217;s the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.binance.vision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Binance Academy<\/a> containing educational content on blockchain, <a href=\"https:\/\/info.binance.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Binance Info<\/a> providing you with market stats and ICO reviews, <a href=\"https:\/\/labs.binance.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Binance Labs<\/a>, an incubator for startups, and <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.binance.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Launchpad<\/a> for token launches.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"trading-fees\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trading Fees<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the casual investor (&lt;100 BTC 30-day volume), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.binance.com\/en\/register?ref=FSU5VNG1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Binance<\/a>\u00a0charges a flat <\/span><b>0.1% fee on each trade,\u00a0<\/b>lower than the industry average.\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you pay using their own token (BNB), you currently receive a <strong>25<\/strong><\/span><b>% discount<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on the trading fee &#8211; bringing it down to <strong>0.075%<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re a high-volume trader (&gt;= 100 BTC 30-day volume) that holds at least 50 BNB, you receive even greater discounts. Your fees follow a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.binance.com\/en\/fee\/schedule\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">trading fee schedule<\/a> that&#8217;s determined by your trading volume, maker\/taker status, and whether you pay your fee in BNB. Since then, the platform has grown to house over nine million users and is expecting to bring in close to a billion dollars of profit in 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, has an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/cpzhao\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">impressive resume<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with years of experience in cryptocurrency. He was the Head of Development at Blockchain, Co-founder and CTO of OKCoin, and the Founder and CEO of BijieTech before working on Binance.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"fund-security\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fund Security<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Although the exact details of how Binance keeps funds secure is missing from the website, the company has proven time and again that your coins are in good hands.<\/p>\n<p>In early 2018, the platform came under a <a href=\"https:\/\/coincentral.com\/binance-funds-safe-users-affected-api-hack-will-unauthorized-trades-reversed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">phishing and API attack<\/a> in which thieves began exchanging users&#8217; coins for Viacoin (VIA) without their consent. As the price of Viacoin rose due to the increased demand, the attackers sold their VIA supply to make a substantial profit. As soon as the Binance team realized the malicious behavior, they disabled withdrawals and froze the affected funds.
